- Limerick Historical tour Including Quaker places of interest & St Mary’s Cathedral
- Ardnacrusha Hydroelectric Power Station & St Mary’s Cathedral
- Stormwater Wetland and Community Orchard Visit – On this outing we will visit a constructed wetland area built by Clare County Council for filtering road runoff and reducing flood risks. We will look at the environmental benefits and the habitat that such wetlands provide. We will also visit a newly planted community orchard adjacent to the wetland site, where local residents in Ennis got together in the spring of 2017 to plant a variety of fruit and nut trees as a local community initiative. We’ll be a bit early in the year to enjoy the fruits of the orchard, but the area serves as an example of the kind of transformation that can occur when people get together to enhance their local environment.
