Friends World Committee for Consultation

Due to various twists and turns of history, groups of Friends around the world worship in a variety of ways, with different emphases placed on the various aspects of our common Christian and Quaker heritage. Quaker Meetings in some parts of the world are strongly Christian and bible-based, and may have programmed services led by a pastor, while those in other parts of the world have retained the tradition of unprogrammed Meetings rooted in silence, often also being more liberal theologically.

The Friends World Committee for Consultation (FWCC) encourages fellowship and understanding among all the branches of the Religious Society of Friends.

You can find out more at the FWCC website.

Ireland Yearly Meeting is part of the Europe and Middle East section of FWCC (FWCC-EMES).
