The 400th anniversary of George Fox’s birth is being celebrated all over the Quaker world this year – including in Enniscorthy. You can read a piece from the Enniscorthy Guardian about this event, held last Saturday at the June Leinster Quarterly Meeting.

Free guided walks around the Temple Hill Quaker Burial Ground – one of Dublin’s most unusual graveyards – will be given on Tuesdays in July and August at 4pm. The tour lasts about an hour. More information can be found on this leaflet about the tours.

This webinar (Monday 17 June from 7.00-8.30pm) will be given by academic and activist Majken Jul Sorensen, who studies creative forms of nonviolent action and creative resistance. In her latest book ‘Pacifism Today’ she explores how nonviolent action and unarmed resistance to war is a vital way to build peace. She also explores how militarism fundamentally does more harm then good and explores how people in Russian might remove Putin from power nonviolently.
