The theme for this year’s Ecumenical Bible Week is ‘Peace and justice in a troubled world’, referencing the phrase from Psalm 85 ‘Mercy and truth are met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed each other’. There are four separate events taking place on May 19, 20, 23 and 26. All four will be held in a blended format (in person and online).

The symposium held on Thursday May 23 may be of particular interest; the speakers include Janet Scott (Britain Yearly Meeting), Rabbi Yoni Wieder (Chief Rabbi in Ireland) and Dr Jessie Rogers (Dean of Theology Faculty, Maynooth University), who will address the topic: ‘Are peace and justice compatible?’
