Quakers and Creeds: The Role of Creeds in Church and State (Oct. 27)

The emperor Constantine called the Council of Nicaea for the unity of the church, but he also saw the value of having one religion contributing to the unity of the Empire. This session looks at examples of how the intermingling of church and state has worked in practice, and asks what the relationship should be now.

This online Woodbrooke course will run during 7.30-9.00pm on October 27. There is no fee for attending, but participants are invited to pay as led.
