This fundraising concert for the Newtown School Development Fund will take place at The Courthouse Arts Centre in Tinahely, Co. Wicklow, on Saturday, 8th August 2026, from 19:30 to 22:00. Doors open at 19.00.
Paddy, Geordie and The Spark are Alan Johnson (lead vocal and rhythm guitar) and musician friends: Peter O’Callaghan (keyboards, vocals), Andrew Power (lead guitar, vocals) and Michael Armstrong (bass, vocals).
Our music is ‘Celtic Soul’, influenced by Irish music but not traditional. Expect to hear songs by Sonny Condell (Scullion), John Martyn, Ronnie Lane (The Faces), Johnny Marr (The Smiths), Bonnie Raitt, Richard Ashcroft (The Verve), Van Morrison, Mike Scott (The Waterboys), Hothouse Flowers, The Clash, Robert Smith (The Cure), Bob Marley (The Wailers), and Elvis Costello.
